Relation to curriculum Compulsory module for 3rd semester students. This laboratory course provides hands-on experience in preparing and analyzing
microscopic slides of plant tissues. It supports CPL-6 and CPL-7 by developing technical skills in staining, sectioning, and
microscopy. In line with ASIIN standards, the course integrates theory and practice, strengthening students’ understanding of
plant internal structures and enhancing observation and interpretation skills for educational and research purposes.
Teaching methods Hands-on laboratory
Workload 1 x 45 hours per semester, comprising:

✔ 170 minutes structured tasks per week

Credit points 1 SKS = 1.6 ECTS (45 hours)
Prerequisites
Module objectives / Intended Learning Outcomes ✔ Students are able to understand plant cell structures including cytoplasmic streaming, plastids, storage materials, crystals, pigments, tissues, and organs.
✔ Students are able to perform correct specimen sectioning and microscopic preparation techniques to analyze plant anatomical structures.
Content This course provides hands-on experience in preparing tissue sections and observing plant anatomy at the cellular and tissue level.
