Relation to curriculum Compulsory module for 3rd semester students. This course focuses on the principles, methods, and tools of assessment
and evaluation in biology education. It supports CPL-8 and CPL-5 by enabling students to design valid, reliable, and fair
evaluation instruments across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. In line with ASIIN standards, the course
emphasizes outcome-based education and competence-oriented assessment, preparing students to apply diverse evaluation
strategies to improve learning quality and instructional effectiveness.
Teaching methods Lecture, discussion, brainstorming, student-centered learning (SCL), group discussion, team-based project
Workload 2 x 45 hours per semester, comprising:

✔ 100 minutes lecture and discussion per week
✔ 120 minutes structured tasks per week
✔ 120 minutes independent learning per week

Credit points 2 SKS = 3.34 ECTS (90 hours)

Content This course discusses concepts and principles of educational evaluation, including measurement, assessment, and evaluation
frameworks, Bloom’s Taxonomy, development of test and non-test instruments, test analysis, reliability, and reporting of results.Main topics:

➢ Concepts of measurement, assessment, and evaluation
➢ Bloom’s Taxonomy in learning evaluation
➢ Development of assessment indicators
➢ Design of test instruments
➢ Data processing and interpretation of evaluation results
➢ Use of evaluation results for improvement
➢ Non-test evaluation techniques
➢ Test and item analysis
➢ Procedures for reporting evaluation results
