Relation to curriculum Compulsory modules for 4th semester students. This course focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects
of planning effective biology instruction. It supports CPL-8 and CPL-5 by equipping students with the ability
to design instructional plans that are pedagogically sound, curriculum-aligned, and responsive to student needs.
By emphasizing backward design, learning outcomes alignment, and contextual learning strategies, it prepares
future educators to implement biology instruction that is purposeful, measurable, and engaging across diverse classroom settings.
Teaching methods Discussion, project assignment
Workload 3 x 45 hours per semester, comprising:

✔ 100 minutes lecture and discussion per week
✔ 120 minutes structured tasks per week
✔ 120 minutes independent learning per week

Credit points 3 SKS = 4.8 ECTS (135 hours)
Prerequisites
Module objectives / Intended Learning Outcomes ✔ Students are able to explain the definition and objectives of lesson planning, types of lesson plans, and the importance of effective lesson planning, as well as analyze syllabus, academic calendar, and teaching module formats.
✔ Students are able to provide alternative solutions to classroom management and practicum problems through the development of lesson flow, appropriate teaching methods/models, and student worksheets (LKPD).
✔ Students are able to solve learning problems through the development of instructional media, assessment instruments (test and non-test), and compile a complete teaching module portfolio.

➢ Academic calendar
➢ Syllabus development
➢ Preparation of learning modules
➢ Development of teaching materials
➢ Selection of teaching models, methods, and media
➢ Preparation of assessment instruments
➢ Portfolio development
