Relation to curriculum Compulsory module for 4th semester students. This course introduces major philosophical perspectives and their influence on
educational thought and practice. It supports CPL-3 and CPL-4 by encouraging critical reflection on the nature, purpose, and
values of education. Students examine educational ideologies, learner autonomy, the role of teachers, and moral dimensions
of teaching. The course enables students to develop a personal philosophy of education as a foundation for becoming reflective
and responsible educators.
Teaching methods Lecture, SCL, inquiry approach, create a concept map about branches of philosophy related to education, group discussion, Q&A, PBL, paper
Workload 2 x 45 hours per semester, comprising:

✔ 100 minutes lecture and discussion per week
✔ 120 minutes structured tasks per week
✔ 120 minutes independent learning per week

Credit points 2 SKS = 3.34 ECTS (90 hours)

➢ Benefits of studying philosophy of education
➢ Schools of philosophical thought and their implications
➢ Schools of educational philosophy
➢ Pancasila educational philosophy
➢ Islamic educational philosophy
