Relation to curriculum Compulsory laboratory module supporting Biochemistry. This course provides hands-on experience in biochemical techniques such as solution preparation, biomolecule testing, and enzyme analysis. It supports CPL-6 and CPL-7 by strengthening technical laboratory skills, analytical thinking, and interpretation of experimental results.
Teaching methods Hands-on (laboratory)
Workload 1 x 45 hours per semester, comprising:
✔ 170 minutes structured tasks per week
Credit points 1 SKS = 1.6 ECTS (45 hours)
Prerequisites
Module objectives ✔ Conduct tests for carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids accurately
✔ Analyze observed reactions in biochemical tests
✔ Prepare systematic laboratory reports based on experimental findings
Content This laboratory course develops practical skills in analyzing biochemical substances.

Main activities:
➢ Testing carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, enzymes, and nucleic acids
➢ Qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques
➢ Enzyme activity analysis
➢ Scientific interpretation of experimental data

The course also emphasizes critical thinking, teamwork, and scientific report writing.
