Praktikum Fisiologi Hewan

Module title SBEP3047 Animal Physiology Laboratory
Semester(s) 5th Semester
Person responsible Dr. Safrida, M.Si
Language Indonesian, English
Relation to curriculum Compulsory modules for 5th semester students. The Animal Physiology Laboratory provides hands-on experience that deepens students’ understanding of physiological systems introduced in the Animal Physiology lecture course. Students engage in practical experiments exploring neural responses, hormonal activity, osmoregulation, and muscle contraction mechanisms. This supports CPL by strengthening problem-solving and data analysis skills, while aligning with CPMK through integrative understanding and technical accuracy. The course builds upon prior knowledge from Cell Biology and Biochemistry.
Teaching methods Contextual learning, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), inquiry, group discussion, practical report, and video-based assignments
Workload 1 x 45 hours per semester, comprising:
✔ 170 minutes structured tasks per week
Credit points 1 SKS = 1.6 ECTS (45 hours)
Prerequisites
Module objectives ✔ Explain concepts of animal development through case-based simulations
✔ Demonstrate and analyze stages of animal development, reproductive systems, and related structures accurately
Content This course studies physiological functions and regulatory mechanisms in living systems through laboratory and field activities.

Main topics:
➢ Diffusion and osmosis processes
➢ Red blood cells in various solution concentrations
➢ Enzymatic digestion system
➢ Sense of taste
