| Relation to curriculum | Compulsory modules for 4th semester students. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the anatomy, physiology, and classification of vertebrate animals, including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. It supports CPL-1 and CPL-6 by developing knowledge of vertebrate biodiversity, evolutionary relationships, and adaptive features. In alignment with ASIIN’s emphasis on subject depth and ecological awareness, students analyze structural and functional adaptations across habitats and develop scientific reasoning and communication skills for teaching zoology effectively. |

| Module objectives / Intended Learning Outcomes | ✔ Students are able to explain the concepts, scope, and importance of vertebrate zoology and apply basic classification principles of vertebrates accurately. ✔ Students are able to analyze zoogeography, variability, phylogenetics, and the ecological roles of vertebrates. ✔ Students are able to classify and communicate characteristics of major vertebrate groups including Chondrichthyes, Osteichthyes, Amphibia, Reptilia, Aves, and Mammalia. ✔ Students are able to apply identification keys and compare characteristics among vertebrate classes accurately in field and academic contexts. |
